Welcome to a critical workshop that plays a direct role in influencing the future of policing and public safety legislation in British Columbia.

This event is focused on harnessing the insights and experiences of the Farsi-speaking community to drive

forward the Policing and Public Safety Modernization initiative. Your contributions are vital in shaping legislation that meets the diverse needs of all communities across BC. Our Workshop Aims to:

  • Foster Community Collaboration: We're gathering input from you - the heart of our community - to inform the direction of future policing strategies within the new legislation.

  • Value Lived Experiences: Share your personal interactions with law enforcement to help us propose legislation that is more inclusive and empathetic.

  • Leverage Community Expertise: Your insights are invaluable in guiding the development of effective, community- centric policing laws.

  • Anonymous Sharing: Feel free to share your experiences on the form at the bottom of this page. We respect your privacy and confidentiality and will not collect any personal information.

  • Email Contributions: Alternatively, email us your stories. Rest assured, your privacy will be strictly maintained.

  • Utilization of Your Stories: With your permission, we can anonymously incorporate your experiences into our discussions at the event or include them in our final report to the legislature.
