Spring has always been one of the most frequent and beautiful themes in Persian poetry. Classical and contemporary poets—from Rudaki and Saadi to poets of today—have drawn on spring not only as an image of renewing nature, but also as a symbol of hope, rebirth, and inner and social transformation. In this session, we will explore the diverse expressions of bahāriyeh (spring-themed poetry) in Persian literature, from natural descriptions to its symbolic and interpretive readings.
Coordinators: Dr Leila Raei - PhD in Persian Literature Dr Meysam Khataminia - PhD in Persian Literature
