Standing up to tyrants is nothing new for Iranians. In these pivotal days, it is timely to explore the role of Persian poetry in reflecting anger, protest, and steadfastness in the face of injustice, and to show how poets—drawing on collective experiences of repression and crisis—have created a language of resistance and hope.

The aim of this event is to create a space for literary dialogue about the relationship between poetry and social awareness, human dignity, and the hope of a better future.

Coordinators: Dr Leila Raei - PhD in Persian Literature Dr Meysam Khataminia - PhD in Persian Literature
